"Hercules! Hercules!" (part three)

Hercules is not only synonymous with
strength and cunning, but  with virility,
sexuality, and sensuality.

I don't imagine there's an image of Hercules
in any medium he's been depicted where he
is less than the embodiment of the masculine ideal.

Courageous, strapping, undaunted,
muscular and determined....he has the bravado
that some men aspire to and others manifest.
Inwardly, we all desire to be possessed by him.

There is a savagery, a danger, an imbalanced
side to his air that, while it goes against our more
civilized leanings, speaks intimately to the primal beast
within us all.

We secretly long for that beastly man...who takes no
prisoners and fears no comeuppance.
We long to be dominated, titillated, set free.

There is a trapped soul longing to be mastered,
dirtied, manipulated, bested and sullied...
if only someone who could breach all our defenses
would come along and take us.

That masterful freedom to bellow and
fornicate and ravage with abandon is
within us all, but in lieu of accessing it,
we are glad to have another portray it.

Classic beauty of the male form,
indifferent to all others, proud and noble...

a hybrid of man and beast and god,
pure lust and sinew, set loose upon the world.

What could be sexier than that?
